A stepwise power tariff model with game theory based on Monte-Carlo simulation and its applications for household, agricultural, commercial and indus…
2019
Abstract The concept of game theory has been adapted in the regulation of retail electricity market within the constraints of stepwise power tariff (SPT) for economic energy consumption. The objective is to increase the penetration level of renewable energy sources (RES) and electric vehicles with implementation of Bayesian game model for categorized (i.e. household, agricultural, commercial & industrial) consumers. Bayesian game model is based on degree of information shared by consumers due to their selfish nature. The main goal is to create an algorithm using constraints RES, storage through electric vehicles, electric wiring, number of consumer, efficient equipment, social status of fam…
Energy market segmentation for distributed energy resources implementation purposes
2007
The new power market scene has made its actors aware of the importance of offering customers a set of products according to their specific needs. At the same time, a desirable massive deployment of distributed energy resources would require that the products be designed for specific purposes for each type of customer. For these reasons, it is essential to identify the energy behaviour of different customer segments existing in the electricity market. This paper presents a segmentation methodology that allows the identification of different types of customers in accordance with their energy use. This segmentation is conceptually different from the one that is currently performed by the utili…
Web Services Specific Security Standards
2014
Abstract In this paper are described the aspects regarding the security within OGSA framework, introducing WS-Security standard – OASIS standard for Web Services security. There are approached the security aspects of the OGSA environment for the delivered architectures P2P – ‘Peer-to-Peer’ and there are presented the recent initiatives for creating a specific and adapted environment OGSA for the applications P2P and the specific security demands of these transactions. Furthermore, there are exposed aspects regarding the mobility of services and resources in the P2P context, with the conditions of applying WSRF framework, derived from OGSA to the P2P environments, SOA processes in P2P enviro…
Conceptualization and Examination of Success Factors in the Banking System
2016
Abstract Banking competition has intensified in recent years, largely due to globalization, technological process and economic instability. The banking system in this context is supplied with considerable challenges, with customers’ characteristics, needs and desires consistent with the current environment (globalization, technological change and economic crisis). It is necessary to identify those features that contribute to the development of competitive advantage. In this sense, this paper shows the results of the analysis of success factors in the banking system. To obtain the results the following methods were used: in-depth questionnaire (for experts), questionnaire (for customers), ob…
Structural and Magnetic Properties of Co-Fe Binary Alloy Monolayers on W(110)
2003
We present an experimental investigation of ${\mathrm{C}\mathrm{o}}_{x}{\mathrm{F}\mathrm{e}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}$ monolayers grown on flat and stepped W(110) surfaces. Atomically resolved scanning tunneling microscopy and low energy electron diffraction reveal continuous miscibility and pseudomorphic growth of Co and Fe for $0\ensuremath{\le}xl0.6$. We observe short range ordered ${\mathrm{C}\mathrm{o}\mathrm{F}\mathrm{e}}_{3}$-$p(2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}2)$ and CoFe-$c(2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}2)$ structures in the pseudomorphic monolayer. High Co concentrations lead to a phase separation. The Curie temperature and the ferromagnetic Kerr signal at low temperatures decr…
Spin-polarized Low Energy Electron Diffraction
2007
We review recent progress in the understanding of the physics of ultrathin ferromagnetic films and surfaces that has been made using elastic spin-polarized low-energy electron diffraction (SPLEED). Further development of the experimental technique including high efficient electron sources, spin manipulation and imaging allows a wide range of applications. We report on a quantitative comparison of relativistic dynamical scattering calculations with SPLEED experiments on Fe(110) surfaces and Fe(100)/W(100) thin films leading to an understanding of the spatial distribution of spin densities. Exploiting the surface sensitivity in combination with the large asymmetry of SPLEED, it becomes feasib…
Algebraic value of the electrooptic coefficients and nature of charge carriers in batio3single crystals
1989
Abstract Some monodomain pure and Fe doped barium titanate monocrystals are studied. The algebraic values of the electrooptic coefficients r 13 and r 33 are evaluated using an interferometric method. Then, from energy transfer results it is possible to conclude that majority carriers are positive charges in all the samples.
The electron gas with short coherence length pairs: how to approach the stronger coupling limit?
2001
Abstract The attractive Hubbard model is investigated in 2D using a T -matrix approach. In a self-consistent calculation pairs as infinite lifetime Bosons only exist in the atomic limit and therefore a Fermi surface can be investigated also in the stronger coupling regime. A heavy quasiparticle peak with a weak dispersion crosses the Fermi surface at k F whereas light, single particle excitations do only exist far away from the Fermi surface. At low temperatures there seem to exist different self-consistent solutions. In one of them a pseudogap opens even in the integrated density of states. In the present work accurate k -dependent and k -integrated spectral quantities for a 2D finite latt…
Design of experiment approach applied to reducing and oxidizing tolerance of anode supported solid oxide fuel cell. Part I: Microstructure optimizati…
2011
The main drawback of Ni/YSZ anode supports for solid oxide fuel cell application is their low tolerance to reducing and oxidizing (RedOx) atmosphere changes, owing to the Ni/NiO volume variation. This work describes a structured approach based on design of experiments for optimizing the microstructure for RedOx stability enhancement. A full factorial hypercube design and the response surface methodology are applied with the variables and their variation range defined as: (1) NiO proportion (40-60 wt% of the ceramic powders), (2) pore-former proportion (0-30 wt% corresponding to 0-64 vol.%), (3) NiO particle size (0.5-8 mu m) and (4) 8YSZ particle size (0.6-9 mu m).
